Funding and Independence
Democracy Insight is built to provide calm, accessible and non-partisan explanation of democratic life.
The site may be supported through individual contributions, memberships, donations, grants, sponsorship, consultancy, advertising, or other lawful income. Any funding model should protect editorial independence and public trust.
Supporters do not receive the right to direct editorial conclusions, require favourable coverage, or suppress criticism. Editorial decisions remain with Democracy Insight.
Where a significant funding relationship could reasonably be seen as relevant to a piece of coverage, Democracy Insight should consider whether a disclosure is needed.
We do not accept funding that would knowingly require party-political campaigning, misleading content, or editorial control by an outside body.
